The woman who left the 1-star negative review on this site is an absolute fool. I am 26 years old and have grown up with both playable and collectable Barbies. From a young age I loved both the Barbies you could play with, and the special Barbies that had to go on a shelf. I had quite a few decorative dolls and figurines, many of which I asked for. Collectable Barbies are marketed to girls of all ages because they are good for girls of all ages. Playable and collactable Barbies are easy to distinguish: Their differences range in price(playables are at least 1/2 the price),accessability(collectables are harder to get), and LABEL(most, if not all, collectables will say on the box BARBIE COLLECTOR/TION). The Dancing With the Stars Samba Barbie is another gem. The doll looks nice and has a gorgeous dress. Do not discount this doll even if you are buying for a little girl: It could be a sweet, pretty thing on her shelf.
