Mega Bloks Halo UNSC Pelican Dropship

I love the halo Mega bloks, while sometimes the pieces aren't perfect the models are really cool when they're built. My fiancé and I picked this up and had a great afternoon working together to build it. This is one of the better sets, I think. Nearly 1000 pieces, it took us several hours to put together and we are both experienced with models. It came missing a piece, but luckily we were able to easily modify the model with some spare parts and it still turned out great. The model is very solid once put together, and while I don't really play with it much (it's mostly decoration), but it's pretty sturdy with lots of cool moving parts so I'm sure it would be fun to play with. All in all, a good buy for the money and one of the better sets in the series. The picture doesn't really do it justice, it's impressive in person.

Magna-Tiles Clear Colors 32 piece set

This Christmas we bought our second set of Magna-tiles. Their play value has lasted all year, and the expansion of the set was almost as exciting as the first set. My son is disabled, and these are great user-friendly toys with which any child can succeed. They've also survived the dog's inquisitive mouth. We personally like the clear colors, but were tempted to try the opaque tiles (with opening door/window). Last but not least, the tiles foster creativity.

LEGO DUPLO Bricks & More Deluxe Brick Box 5507

This is our first DUPLO set and it contains a good number of block pieces to get started with DUPLO along with a few special pieces (wagon base, flowers, gate, etc.)

Both my 2yo and 6yo enjoy playing with the set and we'll likely be purchasing additional building blogs and DUPLO people in the future.

Kids Adventure Learner Jumbo Block Set 48 pc

These blocks are great! Right out of the box, my 2 year old twins imaginations started working. I did order two sets to give us more options to build. Everyone from aunts and uncles to even grandpa got down on the floor to build with these! We've built benches and chairs and drive thru windows and store counters! Storage can be a challenge, depending on the number of sets you have. I do recommend at least 2 sets of 48 blocks (best price this way too) because one set was a bit too few for building anything the kids can really play with. They are somewhat expensive, but I'm sure they will be played with for years.

B. Times Square Activity Cube

I bought this toy for my 7 month old son, in an effort to distract him from constantly pulling up on everything and falling. It failed in that regard. However, now that he is 9 months old, he is suddenly showing interest in the toy. He likes to move the pieces around, and loves the lights and music. The side with the piano keys has a little wheel that he likes to turn. He also likes to play with the phone and press the buttons. He hasn't figured out the shape sorter yet, but I'm sure he will. I think this was a good buy.

Haba Building Blocks Cordoba

We bought these for our 9 month old daughter. They are a little beyond her for building, of course, but she likes the colors, shapes, textures, and unique features like the bell and prism. The whole family thought they were the neatest blockes they had ever seen. I hope to add another set when she gets old enough to build with them. They are perfect for her two favorite games, "chew on things" and "take things out of the basket." They seem to be excellent quality and hold up well to her chewing. Even the transparent plastic that contains the pearls seems to be sturdy. While I don't believe that any of the pieces as a whole are small enough to choke on, some of them would not pass the "toilet paper roll" test so I would recommend using these with supervision for a smaller child.

Haba Puzzle Stacking Game Land of Dragons

This is a great block toy. The stacking feature is wonderful for my child. It was expensive but worth it so far. I recommend the brand, the seller, and the toy. I would buy another toy from Haba. I really like the bright colors on the blocks. My child really likes the stacking.

Incrediblock

My six month old loves this toy - he can pull himself to standing (with our support) and loves to hit the button on the top to make it spin. He loves to watch things spin around on the top, but does tend to stop it with his hand and it makes this awful grinding noise.

The best part is that this toy will grow with your kids - my friend's 18 month old adores this toy - he even talks about it. :) It kept him occupied for at least an hour one evening - and not many things keep an 18-month-old busy for that long.

My only complaint is that it is hard to explain to a young child that they have to put the block on the top a certain way for it to say what is in the block.

Uncle Goose French Alphabet Wooden Blocks - Made in the USA

I was so pleased to find these blocks for our little boy. I am a former French teacher, so we are raising him biligually, and it is really tough to find quality French toys in the U.S. The blocks have animals with the words printed on one side, a number on another side (again, with the word), and letters of the alphabet on the other sides, including all of the accent-marked vowels. These are a valuable educational toy for anyone wishing to add a little French to their child's world. If you don't know how to speak French, find pronunciation help at [...] or a similar website. The blocks set has 32 included, so there are 32 different animals. Our little boy (15 months) loves to look at the pictures and hear what they are called. I would recommend supervising young children with this toy, as it is supposed to be for ages 3 and up. I noticed some slight splintering on a couple of the blocks, which we easily fixed, but that could be a problem if a little one were to pop it in the mouth.

Edushape Textured Brightly Colored Foam Building Blocks

We got just a few of these in a giveaway and couldn't wait to buy the whole set. They are soft and lightweight but incredibly sturdy. I let my kids (4 and 2) play with these without worrying about them getting hurt by falling towers. The colors are rich and beautiful, the blocks all fit together (2 of a certain size are the same length as 1 of another) so they are great for early math skills.

Wonderworld Eco-Friendly ABC Touchy Blocks

I've purchased these blocks for Christmas for my 2 years old son. They are sooooo cute !! Each block is 1.8" x 1.8", so the perfect size. They are painted with cute colorful pictures and have upper and lower case alphabet. My son has fun with them. They seem to be very durable and well made although I am a little bit curious if the paint is going to last after more playing.... So far very happy with the purchase.

Haba sticky bricks (sticky building blocks) 13 Piece

These blocks are great!!! They have a stain-like paint applied to the exterior and the connect parts are left unfinished. There are 4 rectangular blocks, 2 cubes, 2 small cylinders, 2 large cylinders, 2 triangular shaped blocks all painted various colors and one large unfinished block. Each piece fits perfectly together. My one year old son loves to build and knock these blocks down. They have a great natural sound when they hit the floor. The blocks are easy for him to grasp. A prior reviewer stated these blocks were made in China but they are not, they are Made in Germany who maintains high standards for children's toys. I want to be able to allow my son to play with toys that are non-toxic and not worry whether or not he puts them in his mouth. I would have liked this kit to contain more than 13 blocks but it was well worth it.
