Mansions of Madness

Product Description

Mansions of Madness is a macabre board game of horror, insanity and mystery for 2-5 players. Gather your fellow investigators and unravel the dark mysteries within before it's too late. Based on the horror fiction of master writer H.P. Lovecraft, Mansions of Madness creates an engrossing new narrative every time you play. Each game takes place within a pre-designed story that provides players with a unique map and several combinations of plot threads. These threads affect the monsters that investigators may encounter, the clues they need to find and which climactic story ending they will ultimately experience. One player takes on the role of the keeper, controlling the monsters and other malicious powers within the story. The other players take on the role of investigators, searching for answers while struggling to survive with their minds intact. Both the engaging plot and the stunning components will draw you in to a world of cosmic horror. The beautifully rendered modular map tiles show every intricate feature of the rooms you'll search and the monster figures represent the otherworldly forces of evil in horrific detail. The bases for each monster figure even have slots into which you can insert that monster's token, displaying only the pertinent statistics. All together, the thirty-two included figures, over 300 cards, over 200 tokens and markers and nearly 70 puzzle tiles, will help immerse you in a sanity-bending story of terrifying mystery. Do you dare enter the Mansions of Madness?

Uno Attack Game

We played an earlier version of this while on a family vacation and bought the latest one as soon as we got home. It is ideal for all ages. Our five-year-old grandchild soon mastered the game. And sometimes we even play it without the grandchildren around!

Nintendo Monopoly Game Collector's Edition

This game great fun for the family. It teaches the importance of waiting for the right opportunity spend your cash instead of just blowing it away. Now, Monopoly has always been a fun game, even when I was growing up as a kid. But to play as my favorite Nintendo characters is great. I think this game is Educational about the real world! It teaches how to count out the money to pay for property or rent. Great buy ! I think every family should have at least one monopoly game in their homes.

Memoir '44

I've been playing hundreds of wargames for over 35 years and this game is one of the best I've come across. My 13-year old daughter likes it too (she beats me regularly), and even my 20-something sons enjoyed playing. Memoir'44 has some subtle but effective wargaming tactics to it in the card play and movement of the units. The terrain pieces determine "kill zones" for units in overwatch and "sanctuaries" for spent units. My daughter caught on very fast and this is a wargame for people that would never play a complicated wargame like "Command Decision", but it still gives the grognard the "feel" of a real wargame. The games play out quickly also for time-contrained individuals. Up to 4 can play with one game, but for 4-6 players on two teams, buy 2 games and put them together for real command and control experiences. The game comes with over a dozen historical scenarios and many more are avaailable on the "Days of Wonder" website. The Memoir '44 website supports additional scenarios, FAQ, and player interaction. Highly Recommended. High replay value. There are many small plastic pieces and cardboard terrain pieces so small children should be monitored (as always).

Wrath of Ashardalon: A D&D Boardgame

its amazing, actually. Wrath of Ashardalon has taken the basic themes and source material of the new edition of Dungeons and Dragons and distilled it into *something better*. not only is this a must own gem of a board game, i'd even say its the best thing Wizards of the Coast has released in years. highest recommendation.

(no dungeons and dragons experience necessary to enjoy this game.) also, this is fully playable as a solo experience.

Rich Dad Cashflow 101 board game (with CD's)

This game is very educational. It allows someone to understand the Real Estate World and how to create a passive income. I do wish that it were broken down so that a new person to Real Estate would understand that there are closing costs, an actual mortgage that is set up along with the deal, and some way of paying off each property as it is acquired so as to earn more passive income.

Dominion: Big Box

After reading reviews about the quality of the product, I got a little nervous. But tonight my Amazon shipment came in and the game set was great! I had to make sure I had the card marker inserts facing the right direction but all cards fit nicely. It's true that randomizer card slot doesn't fit all cards but after I took out victory and money cards, everything fit. I'm happy with the quality and price of this product.

7 Wonders Game

I'm very satisfied with this game so far. I've played probably 20 times so far, and i cant get enough. I have played with 2,3,4,5 and 6 players and the game ran beautifully with each set of players. I even played this game with my parents (mid 50s) and they were able to grasp the main concepts. The 2-player variant is surprisingly seamless, it uses a phantom 3rd player *groan* and usually i hate having that but since the third player has so much effect on each player's strategy, it works out very well. I'm continuously surprised at how well balanced the game is, with most scores having a <10 point spread, unless something crazy happens. So far, everyone I've played with just loves it! Get this game!

A Game of Thrones: The Board Game Second Edition

I absolutely love this board game. I am a huge fan of the series and was given this as a Christmas present. I played with my family, none of whom are familiar with the "Song of Ice and Fire" franchise. Still, everyone had a great time! The game is extremely complex but, that complexity makes forming and carrying out strategies even more enjoyable. We played 3 times in 3 days and each time, it went a good deal faster.

Dominion

In the days of technology and scheduled events we struggle to find times to connect with our children. Dominion has helped us renew that connection. My wife and I plus both our sons (age 17 & 11) LOVE playing this game together. Whether you go in with a fine tuned strategy or just "make it up as you go along" the opportunity to enjoy the game and win is presented. We love that the entire game play lasts about 30-40 minutes, we don't always have an entire day to devote to a game, but we have a half hour after dinner to enjoy the company of our kids. they will be moving out soon enough and beginning their own families. Dominion is a game that everyone wants to set aside what they are doing and play together. When was the last time your kids begged to play a game with Mom and Dad?
