I bought this set at the same time as the Carrera GO!!! Pixar Cars set. We have had fun mixing/matching cars and tracks. It seems as if people's opinions are very polarized, ratings of 1 or 5. I will have to say the people that have issues keeping them on the track have unrealistic expectations. The cars are fast and fun. You must control the throttle through the turns; the cars must be "driven". You can even use the turbo button for momentary bursts without crashing. Also, you must fan out the electrical pickups as indicated in the instructions. This allows the guiding pin to ride deep in the grove of the track. I have found the track easy to assemble and durable with deep aligning pins. My 3 and 2 year old kids have had hours of fun playing with this set with my supervision. The cars are large enough for them to put back on the track. This set has been a real value.
